Brad has spent the last 30 years as a Colorado trial attorney and has focused that expertise on family law for the last two decades. After working as a District Attorney and a criminal attorney, Brad moved on to represent children as a Guardian ad litem and then as an Assistant County Attorney for child protection. This background required Brad to develop the type of courtrooom skills that can only be found through experience. Brad has conducted literally hundreds of contested hearings on all types of cases, from multi-week jury trials to emergency hearings and he is always willing and able to litigate cases if needed. However, Brad also strongly believes that in family cases reaching a good result through negoitation and resolution is usually in the best interest of the parites and their children.

Handling complex parental responsibilty actions requires a deep knowledge of the needs of children. Brad's background in child protection means that he has worked with experts of all kinds to develop parenting plans that work for both children and parents. Parenting disputes are challenging and Brad takes pride in listening carefully to parents and giving them the advice they need to make good decisions about their children.

An equitable financial result is a vital part of any divorce. Brad has handled cases with multi-million dollar marital estates and understands the complexity that goes with those matters. Whether it is valuing businesses, discovering assets, calculating maintenance or dividing complicated retirement funds, Brad has seen most of those and has access to the best experts to assist in reaching a fair division of marital assets.

Brad attended the University of Colorado for his undergraduate and legal degrees and remains a big CU Buff fan, even in the hard times. He and his wife are raising two teenagers and two dogs so he understands balancing work and family. Brad is involved with volunteer work for the Douglas County Schools and in 2017 was appointed by the governor to be a member of the Colordo Juvenile Parole Board.
